REFERRAL POLICY @ ADOPTION PATCH

In the past we have had placements fall thru do to families misrepresenting their true homestudy approval statuses.  This has caused children to be placed ON HOLD for so called "paper ready" families which resulted in these children being offline while we waited for promised paperwork to arrive.  It never did.  Unfortunately these children waited longer for placement then they had to.  It is our goal at Adoption Patch to place our waiting children into homestudy approved families as quickly as possible so that they do not end up lingering away in an orphanage, the sooner we can get them home the better!  ~ Trinette

 Hence, our current referral policy... 

• Videos will only be sent to families who are already in the homestudy process and/or approved, your case worker may need to confirm your status.

• ON HOLD - To place a child on hold you must fax us a copy of your approved homestudy (or have your case worker contact us to verify your approval status timeline).  Send us your completed agency application and application fee of $500(non-refundable).  A child can be held for 7 days from the date you receive the video and medical.  If you will be forwarding the child's video and medical to a doctor for consultation we can extend the HOLD a few days.

• PLACEMENT - A child is not PLACED until we are in receipt of your completed/notarized/apostilled dossier and the agency fee.
