Medical/Additional Info: Mother of child was 22 years old.  She claimed she could not and did not want to care for or bring up the child.  She agrees with him being adopted and signed relinquishment.   Child arrived in orphanage from Children’s Hospital on 1/26/00 with court decision in with mother relinquished parental rights to the child. Psycho-motor delay and mental delay.  He walks by himself, is lively, responds well emotionally, pronouncing 2 word phrases (Uh-oh, thank you, op-ah).  He wants to socialize with others, watches adults and caregivers intently.  He participates in group activities, claps his hands, waves his hands.  He responds to music, does not eat by himself but with assistance eats with a spoon.  Drinks from a cup, sits on the toilet but won’t go by himself.  Diagnosis of doctor:  Down Syndrome, hypothyrosis, Retardation psycho-motor, cryptorhismus.  Child takes 2 tablets of Thyroximsy by order of endocrinologist.  Weight  11.5 kg, height 80cm, head 47cm, chest 51.  Above written by caregiver 10/17/03
